Trader Joe's and Costco Girl

Oh hump day how I love you so! You give me hope that the weekend is in sight! : )

Today is the last day of the month...It is such a bitter sweet thing. I am excited for a new month, hopefully a less rainy month I am over June gloom, but I am so sad in just 9 days my little baby is going to be 9 months old. I can’t believe it. I just don’t understand where the time is going?

On another note I was reading A Beautiful Mess and Mommy of a Monsters Blogs yesterday and they absolutely inspired me to try my own little "Tasty Tuesday" I ended up with a variation of Mommy of a Monsters Curry Chicken! : ) I am a Trader Joe's and Costco girl so that’s where all my ingredients came from!

It was BEYOND amazing and I am looking forward to trying some new foods. Because of my Hispanic background I generally only cook Mexican Food I am ready to branch out and learn some new recipes! : ) What is your familys most cooked meal?

I hope everyone is having a beautiful blessed Hump day and I can not wait for my share my Thursday Five with you tomorrow!

Super Random Sunday

A week or so ago I bought some new shampoo and conditioner, something from Tigi-BedHead, I used it today for the first time…. It was like an orgasm on my head(oh yes I said it). Really though the smell of warm vanilla overwhelmed my senses and the creamy conditioner left my hair feeling ridiculously luxurious ! Nothing makes me smile more than great hair which is usually the product of great shampoo and conditioner. Some women like shoes I LOVE shampoo and condition. This love probably stems from my 5 plus years in the salon industry. So in honor of Super Random Sunday, and while we are on the topic of hair, here are JUST A FEW{=) of my many hair styles and colors over the years!

Whats your favorite hairstyle or product? :) I hope ya'll are having a beautiful blessed weekend.

Love Always,

Freaking Friday

Being the ridiculously indecisive, random, and forgetful person that I am, French Vanilla… NO black… or a Carmel cooler?.....Caffeine…..
Right back to the topic… I have decided to Begin a Freaking Friday. Nothing Extravagant Just One Simple Random Freaking Friday Story. This Freaking Friday comes from my trip to Staples office supply where I Planned on Getting INK for the Printer….. I ended up at ULTA, don’t ask, five minutes in the opposite direction of Staples. After Browsing for Conditioner, as I am out, I walked out the door with Just this….

The colors Go on smooth and Brighten up my eyes and for only $10 Its The Perfect Set of colors for a Brunette Like Me! And that My loves is my Freaking Friday Story! Sweet.Short.Simple.
Some How I made it home without the INK But Managed to stop Right next door at Trader Joes for some JOES O‘S Cereal… !Classic Freaking Friday!
Have you ever ran to the store for one thing and ended up somewhere else for something else? What’s your Freaking Friday Story?

Much Love,

My Thursday Five

"A seed ascends around the turntable." My endorphins are bursting as the sun beams down on my lightly bronzed face. My thoughts are skydiving as they are junked up on caffeine. Oh Thursday how I love you so… You excite me with your almost Friday status! From me to you here is everything and anything that means everything or nothing to me this Thursday!

Five… Although approximately two months away I am getting a little nervous for this semester of school! With the assumption that I would only be working part time I signed up for 16 online credits. And congratulations to me I got a promotion. Now at 45-60 hours a week and an 8 month old these 16 credits are going to be …well they are going to be an adventure to say the least. HOWEVER I know I can do it, because like I mentioned last week I am a firm believer, thanks to my mother, that anything you put your mind to you can do! Oh and I plan on doing it because like my sisters always say… We are mexiCANS not mexiCANTS! : )

Four… I said last week I was not one for recommendations but apparently that is changing. Being the amazing man that he is My LOVE went to Ulta by himself *SHOCKER* and bought me a hair dryer. My first thought when he arrived home was “ahh he does listen” My second was “this dryer is going to suck” lol but again *SHOCKER* The thing freaking rocks! Perfect for a consistently on the go mom like me! Thanks to my rockstar (mmm that reminds me of caffeine) Latin/Italian heritage I have insanely thick hair and not just thick strands or a lot of hair… yup I got both! (feel free to ask Tammie my amazing hairstylist lol) ANYWAY normally my hair takes forever to get dry but this baby gets it done in 5 minutes! SCORE! So this week I highly recommend the Rusk Speed Freak Hair Dryer a little spendy but totally worth it!
**Thanks Babe You’re the Best**

Three…By the end of the season you are going to be sick of me talking about it, but once again thank you TRUE BLOOD for being in existence! Dirty, Raunchy, Captivating, Simply Amazing!

Two… Starting P90x and Insanity Round two. I was doing great with it the first time around seeing results and then I just stopped because of the whole promotion jump to full time hours thing, but now that I am starting to get my groove down with work I am about to beast and go so hard! That’s right I JUST SAID BEAST! 

ONE… First I just have to explain for those of you who were wondering Aries is a Jamexican and that is a Jamaican and Mexican(Jamaican and Mexican.. apparently her really CAN!) which are the two many ethnicities that he is… Look up a jamexican on urban dictionary and give yourself a laugh!
Oh my little big Aries how you are growing so fast. He is starting to try to take steps.. Yes that’s right steps. I can’t believe how fast he is growing. It seems like next week he’s going to be ready to potty train and I am going to be in a rocker on the balcony with a cane to my right and gray hair on my head!

Life is a blessing and this was my week as

My Five

I feel as though it is becoming routine for me to comment on what “crazy” week I am having. Yesterday I was joking about it being “Thirsty Thursday” and one of my friends kindly pointed out it was Wednesday…. EPIC FAIL… So without out further ado here is my five random things that mean everything or nothing to me this week!

Five.. When I was 14 I had my first job. When I was 16 I had two jobs… By the time I was 18 I was a district manager of 3 salons and had another full time job. So Obviously I am used to working MANY hours… HOWEVER after only working part time, or not at all while being a stay at home mom, I am So worn out by this 60 hours a week thing. I used to work 80 hours+ and still have energy to party and now I can hardly do 60. I need to start sucking down the caffeine and working out hard core to get more energy because I feel so OLD! However Like I briefly mentioned last week I feel so blessed to be the Resident Manager of a 125 unit property at the age of 23(that number still makes me cringe). As my mom always said there is nothing you can’t do when you put your mind to it! Like when I first started riding a bike she made me repeat… I CAN DO IT I CAN DO IT I CAN DO IT! And as my sisters would say I am a mexiCAN not a MexiCANT!

Four... I am not one to recommend things but ESURANCE is amazing, and Jacki Wages at Esurance(Phone: (800) 772-935 Ext. 2635) is even better. AND NO I DON’T GET ANYTHING FOR SAYING THIS. The service she offered was amazing she was sweet and patient not just out for a sale. I have amazing coverage and it truly is the most inexpensive coverage for a vehicle. In this society I can’t help but obsess a little over good service!

Three.. True Blood Season Premier DID NOT disappoint me. It was just as out of control, shocking, and amazing as I expected it to be. This season is going to be wonderful. I have said it before and I will say it again the author of Twillight ABSOLUTELY stole her idea from the author of the Sookie Stackhouse series(which True Blood is based after).

Two.. OH OH OH! So Jacques and I are complete Tv Show Junkies( SEE ABOVE FOR EXAMPLE) and As we are caught up on all of our shows I was looking for something new to watch. Old, New, Strange it really does not matter we love everything. Anyway searching on google for good shows and “Persons Unknown” Popped Up I guess it just started on … I think NBC… AHHH AMAZING! LOVE IT. Recommend It!

One… Always seems to be about my little, BIG, Papa Bear! I swear every week this kid takes LEAPS and BOUNDS in his development. He went from sitting to crawling in a 3 week period and now a month later standing and trying to take steps. Seriously! Every time we think the place is baby proof he proves us wrong!

As Always Love,

LONG WEEK VERY RANDOM TOP FIVE!

I am pretty sure last week I said that it was a crazy week.. I had no idea what I was in store for this week! haha Up and down and all aroudn CRAZY!

Five… So in theory salary is amazing! You know what is less than glamorus… working 68 hours a week and getting paid for 40. Regardless I know when I find an assistant manager it will get better. AND REGARDLESS I KNOW I AM BLESSED FOR HAVING A GOOD PAYING JOB! So needless to say if you think you would be a great leasing agent/ assistant manager and work evenings and 3 Saturdays a month and potentially want an apartment to live in let me know.

Four… Short and sweet TRUE BLOOD STARTS ON SUNDAY 3 MORE DAYS!!!

Three… As many of you know Jacques and I share pretty much everything… apartment, bank account, baby A and for the past two years a cell phone and everything else! I have not had my own cell phone for two years we have shared one. I am happy to say finally after two long and wonderful years I have my own cell phone! Its not that I need it nor that I cant share one but just that its very nice to have my own to play with all day! I am behind on times so text me away friend or not I love to touch screen my afternoon away.. addicting and ridiculous but oh so fun!

Two… I understand why a lot of working professionals participate in happy our.

ONE… Sick with the stomach flu.. Aries was not a happy camper for about 4 days straight. it was so sad and so hard for me to handle. seeing your baby sick and with huge limitations as to what you can actually do is really very hard. I am happy to say we lasted 8 months without him actually getting sick and I am glad that this one time is over! He is Talking more now than before he was sick and laughing at everything!

Again another wonderful week as …

Every Moment

HELLO BLOG!!! What a CRAZY WEEK! I have another crazy one next week as well time to wind down and take a minute to relax! So here you are the five random things that mean everything or nothing to me this week!

FIVE… This one is short and sweet : )…. THERE ARE 10 DAYS UNTIL THE SEASON 3 PREMIER OF TRUE BLOOD! Got to love out of control ridiculous shows!

FOUR…. I have always been a caffeine junkie probably for as long as I can remember. These days however it seems to have been brought to a whole new level. I cant seem to get my morning coffee into my system fast enough. Perhaps this new need for caffeine is my ridiculously out of control daily hours or my frantically busy day? Probably both. I have said it before and I will say it again… Caffeine… Definitely my drug of choice!

THREE… I have never really been one to enjoy change. I get used to something and that’s how I like it to stay. I have a pretty serious track record of Not taking to change kindly, a habit my youngest sister has unfortunately picked up. Part of the reason I don’t like change is because its never just one thing. Its as if one small thing changes it sets of an explosion that causes a huge chain of events that in turn changes everything. Well needless to say that bomb went off and the explosion happen. Its hard to say right now rather or not its good. There are good changes taking place but there are bad things taking place as well. Some positive some negative. I am not quite sure how I feel about it yet. When I know more of the details and the after shock settles down I will have a better grasp on what exactly is going on and how I feel. However I know over all I still am not so fond of this whole change thing.

TWO… GRADUATION! IT IS MY SISTERS GRADUATION! I CAN NOT believe it. I feel like I just graduated and now my little sister will be crossing that stage tonight. I am truly so proud of this girl! She is such an inspiration to me. She always has been and she always will be. She struggled with school her freshman year and as the years went on she completely switched up her life. NOW she is not only graduating but with something like 6 or 7 extra credits. She did post secondary and her school recognized her in the business department and gave her an award for outstanding contribution to the department! Jessica is strong, beautiful, dedicated, determined and a little bit stubborn! : ) She has been a rock for me in so many stages of my life! I am beyond excited to see her cross that stage! She is and always will be MY baby! : ) On the note of my sister graduating this has definitely fuelled into my “quarter life crisis” that I briefly touched on last week. FIVE YEAR that I have been out of high school… I guess it really is time to buy a new car! : )

ONE… No TOUCH! COME HERE! STOP CRAWLING AWAY WHEN I AM CHANGING YOUR DIAPER! Aries is hitting a seriously interesting stage. When I say “no touch” he likes to get a little closer to what ever the object may be reach his hand out to touch it(but not actually touch it) and then look back at me with a smile before quickly crawling off to something else. AND of course he now has a fake cry where he closes his eyes and then opens just one a little to see if I am paying attention!
He crawls faster than I could imagine a baby could and he loves anything and everything that is not one of his toys! He is so adventurous. Not that I expected anything less being he is a combination of Jacques and I! It truly is a blast following him around! He finds things I didn’t even know where there. He makes me laugh with his millions of facial expressions and he has a sound to go with every one of them! He Likes to play with the blinds and try to stick his hands in the heat registers. The door stopper makes him laugh, paper is beyond fascinating, but the computer…. the computer is his favorite with the cell phone coming in a competitive second place! He Is really a blessing and melts my heart everyday. When he waves goodbye or blows kisses. When something makes him laugh and he wont stop cracking up… Oh the joys of motherhood! Every day is a journey… Every moment is a blessing!

Love Always, Mommy Of a Jamexican
